The Metabolic Slimming Program (MSP) addresses the task of transforming the patient’s habits (intake of more balanced and healthy meals) to achieve a healthy weight, based on four fundamental aspects:
- The provision of information and nutritional support to the patient.
- The increase in physical activity, with the intention of obtaining an adequate balance between the calories consumed and those used daily.
- The study of the clinical and metabolic conditions of the patient and the treatment of those alterations found, that may be affecting their health status and that interfere with the objective of achieving a weight and healthy measures.
- The permanent control of key markers -such as the Body Mass Index (BMI) and the systematic study of Body Composition, (the percentage of fat, muscle and body water) and the abdominal perimeter- with the intention of achieving the desired objectives and keeping them in the long term.
